The standard test fee is £50. However, additional fees apply if you choose optional premium services such as Super Priority (£30), Short notice (£25), Out of hours (£25), or a Sunday test (£25).

How soon can I take my test?

You can take the test as early as 24 hours after booking. Typically, you'll be able to schedule a test session within a month, and you won't have to wait more than two months.

Can I take notes while doing my test?

Yes, you can take notes. However, you must hand these over to the test supervisor before you leave the test room. You are not able to bring your own notes with you into the test room. If you are found to have any notes or writing on you or your person you will be unable to take the test and your test fee will not be refunded.

When you have completed your test, you will receive an email within 10 minutes with your Unique Reference Number (URN).

Can I book a Sunday test?

How should I register my nationality?

If using an eVisa, nationality is not required. Otherwise, you must enter the exact nationality shown on the ID you bring to the test, or you will be turned away without a refund.
Special cases:
• BNO passport: Choose British National (Overseas)
• HK/Macao SAR stating 'China': Choose China
• Taiwan stating 'Republic of China': Choose Taiwan (if 'People's Republic of China', choose China)
• Refugees/Stateless: Use codes XXB, XXC, XXA, or XXX if stated on your ID.

Arrive at least 30 minutes before your test. You must bring the exact same accepted ID you used to book the test (unless you registered with an eVisa). No other ID or photocopies will be accepted.

What happens during check-in at the test centre?

Your ID will be checked against your registration details. You must turn off your mobile phone and lock all personal belongings in a secure locker. You will then undergo a security check, have a passport-style photo taken, and sign an attendance list before entering the test room.
